St Joseph's Table - our Parish Cafe

About St Joseph's Table

In 2015 people were invited to complete a questionnaire offering ideas and help in the parish and St Joseph's Table is a project that has grown out of those responses. Hot and cold food and drinks are served throughout two days of the week and our parish centre is fast becoming a drop-in for parishioners, the local community and those who already come to take advantage of parish facilities - the Blessed Sacrament Chapel (open each day for prayer), Parish Lending Library, the Home from Home Shop (second-hand clothing, bric-a-brac etc.), the Watermead Apostolate's Christian Card and Gift Shop (also has rosaries and a wide variety of religious books/resources).

At present St Joseph's Table is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10.30 am - 3.30 pm offering a good range of hot and cold food - scroll down to see the original sample menu below. During the winter months the team are providing "Winter Warmers", a daily special (e.g. Shepherd's Pie, Chicken Pie, Stew, etc) along with a variety of delicious puddings.

There is no need to book, unless you are bringing a group. Groups can be accommodated and catered for, but numbers and menus need to be confirmed in advance. If you would like to book for a group, please phone the main parish telephone number and we can put you in contact with one of team who will advise you.

A warm and friendly welcome awaits all who come and the service is staffed by volunteers and managed by a suitably qualified team. If anyone would like to be involved and can offer a couple of hours a week, the team would be delighted to welcome you and full training will be given.
